Alusion™ – Stabilized Aluminum Foam (SAF) and its various versions are interior or exterior finish panels. They are available in three thicknesses – 1/2 inch, 1 inch and 1.7 inch – and in two densities – Small Cell 15% and Large Cell 10%. The higher the density the smaller the cells and the heavier and less delicate the material.

Alusion panels are produced in a standard 4’ X 8’ sheet.

In addition, AlusionTM panels can be finished in one of three ways:

Natural – This panel type is produced naturally off our production line with a special shiny silver skin featuring a unique waved pattern on the top surface.

Open Cell – 1 Side - The shiny silver skin on Alusion Natural is removed through a special blasting process and the cells underneath are exposed. This creates the Alusion Open Cell, which has also been described as an aluminum sponge. This finish can be applied to both the Small and Large Cell panels. The density of this version is low (10%) which makes the size of the open cell large. Alusion Open Cell - Large cell is the best of the finishes for providing excellent acoustic properties.

Translucent – The shiny silver skin on both sides of 1/2 inch special low-density material is removed to create panels that are fully translucent. This finish is extremely lightweight and allows light, air or liquids to be transmitted through the material.
